Pellet Firing Furnace Retrofit - Pot Grate

The pot grate is a laboratory furnace that is used to burn iron ore pellets for quality tests simulating the actual furnace operations in the pelletizing process. It is a unit that involves continuous control of temperature, pressure and flow, in addition to controlling the air flows over the pellet and controlling the differential pressure.

Due to the accuracy of the tests and expected results for the tests with the pellet burned in the pot grate, it is necessary that the control elements are always at the apex of automation technology, which leads to an increasing routine of updating/renovating your instruments .

The ControlVix team participated in all the retrofits of VALE and ArcelorMittal potgrate's, since its first retrofit in 1986, that is, we have more than 28 years of experience in this type of machine and its needs related to the automation process, either by supervisory systems or by SDCD drives.
