Controlvix Visits ArcelorMittal R&D for Pot Grate Optimization Consulting

This month, Controlvix had the pleasure of visiting ArcelorMittal’s Global Research and Development Center in Maizières-lès-Metz, France, for a technical consulting session focused on the optimization of the Pot Grate system used in iron ore pellet firing tests.

Our engineering team worked closely with ArcelorMittal’s R&D specialists to analyze process data, evaluate operational performance, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and repeatability in thermal cycles. The joint effort aimed at ensuring that the laboratory-scale Pot Grate accurately replicates the industrial pelletizing process — a crucial step in developing new blends and improving pellet quality.
