Retrofit Sintering Furnace

The sintering furnace is a laboratory furnace that is used to produce iron ore sinter for quality testing by simulating the actual operations in the sintering process. It is a unit that involves continuous control of temperature, pressure and flow, in addition to controlling the air flow over the pipe with the mixture that will produce the sinter and controlling the differential pressure.

Due to the accuracy of the tests and the expected results for the tests with the obtained siter, it is necessary that the control elements are always at the apex of automation technology, which leads to an increasing routine of updating/renovating your instruments.

ControlVix performed the retrofit of two sinter units at VALE and one for ArcelorMittal, and together with the experiences in other units, such as Potgrate, we have over 35 years of experience in these types of machines and their needs regarding the automation process, either using supervisory systems or SDCD drives.
